Join international fascia expert and author Jill Miller at Bloom Holistic Retreat in Eastern Ontario for a very special pop-up Body By Breath Retreat.
This immersive retreat located on a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve starts from the premise that your breath is the baseline for all physical movement. While the respiratory muscles’ primary purpose is to facilitate breathing, their secondary duty is to assist your posture and motion. Breath’s third responsibility is it’s unusual access to your nervous system’s stress state. These multiple roles are in constant flux.
Come explore this trinity of breath’s powers with Jill Miller, creator of Yoga Tune Up® and the Roll Model® Method. Restore your core strength, stability, mobility, and resiliency as you:
• Learn the three zones of breathing and discover your body’s breath preferences
• Massage the muscles and fascia of respiration and reset your ability to strengthen your core
• Discover the shortcut to turning on your off switch through the vagus nerve.
Through movement, breathwork, massage, meditation, and experiential anatomy, you’ll embody your body from the inside out. Your retreat includes accommodation, all meals and snacks, yoga instruction, and a kit of Roll Model® Therapy Balls.
Your home away from home is located on 681 acres of pristine boreal forest. It offers unparalleled comfort in an environment of unbuttoned luxury. The kitchen at Bloom follows a farm-to-table food philosophy that makes every meal at the communal tables truly memorable. Meals are vegetarian but we can accommodate most dietary needs. Relax in the sauna, take cold plunges in the lake, hike on 25 kms of trails, visit with the herd of Highland cattle that roam free on the land, read in the library with a steaming mug of tea, or journal in front of the fire—do it all or do nothing at all.
Arrive on Thursday March 9 between 3:00-5:00 pm. Depart at noon on Saturday March 11. Of course you are welcome to stay and linger on the property after check-out. Snow tires and four wheel drive vehicles are recommended for your peace of mind as we may have snow at this time of year.
