Carolina Barajas

Carolina Barajas started practicing yoga in 2014. Two years later, she completed her first yoga teacher training at Yogaworks, in Boston, MA. Her teachers, Caitlyn and Renee gave her the most precious gift, a glimpse into the state of yoga. Caro moved to Montreal in 2017, and it was here, on a cold December afternoon in Old Montreal, that she stumbled upon a Jivamukti class. Little did she know then, that in that moment, at Luna Yoga under a gloomy, cloudy, winter sky, her journey home had begun. In 2018, Carolina had the opportunity to learn from Ashtanga teacher, Chuck Miller, whose teachings showed her body and mind how to sing on the mat, and whom she will always keep close to her heart. And then in 2019, she undertook her Advanced Teacher Training at Luna Yoga; under the guidance of its wonderful teachers, she began to refine her ability to listen inwards, outwards, and in between. In 2020, inspired and encouraged greatly by her teachers, Frances, Jenn and Nina, she decided to embark on the journey of a lifetime and travel to India, where she completed her 300Hr Jivamukti Teacher Training. There, her heart bloomed, like a flower in the spring, watered by the wisdom and kindness of Rima Rabbath and Jules Febre. In this lifetime, and beyond, she will be forever grateful to all those sages, teachers, mentors, friends, and other beings who have come before her, and who’ve taught her so much about the beauty of every moment in life,  and to all those, who have yet to come. Her classes are a blend of spicy and sweet and her playlist will always have a bit of everything, just like her teaching. Carolina is also interested in yoga anatomy, meditation, and philosophy, and is currently undertaking trainings and workshops with Tom Myers and Jafar Alexander . She hopes to one day do some research on yoga based on her academic background (neuroscience).
